Looking at a page of code can be more frightening than the zombie apocalypse, but it doesn’t have to be. I’ll walk you through what everything means, giving you tools to not only withstand the horde, but counterattack it.
Such a good introduction to HTML I had no idea at all how to code before starting this but the teacher made things so clear and easy to follow and I even took notes and now I have a great grasp… Can’t recommend enough!

Am I Going to Fall Asleep?
Maybe, but not because of this course. This course uses lots of silly jokes and zombie analogies to keep the material interesting and engaging. Yup, that’s part of why I use zombies, to keep things fun and interesting, but also because people are familiar with zombies and so apocalyptic analogies can make things clearer.
This course was exactly what I needed to begin my HTML/CSS/zombie fighting journey. Instruction was clear and the zombie themed examples kept me engaged. Thanks!

Fix common issues without paying exorbitant consulting rates
You’ve worked hard on your web page’s content and sometimes all you want to do is fix a typo or remove a weird amount of spacing. You could do it yourself if you knew how. Gain confidence and experience with HTML and CSS in this course so that once you open that editor, you’ll know what to do.
I have dipped my toes in a little bit of HTML prior to going through this course, but even so, I learned a lot of things I didn’t pick up on my own. Definitely looking forward to going through more classes by this instructor!

Why zombies? – It’s not *just* a gimmick. I use apocalyptic analogies to make the concepts clearer and research has shown that laughing while learning helps the material stick.
No, but why *zombies*? – Back in 2013 I was writing a conference proposal on Responsive Design and a zombie concept just hit me. The rest, as they say, is apocalyptic history.
Is this course for me? – Do you like (and/or can stand) silly jokes? Are you comfortable with zombie analogies? Do you want to learn HTML and CSS? I think you know the answer.
But I’m about as technical as freeform zombie poetry, can I learn this stuff? This course is great for people who consider themselves non-technical, that said HTML and CSS often require a different way of thinking than most self-proclaimed “non-technical” people are used to. However, I’ve helped many “non-technical” students understand and be able to use HTML and CSS. If you ever get stuck you can always reach out.
I’m pretty technical, is this course going to bore me? Hopefully the silly jokes and zombie references will keep you entertained, but you can always run the videos at a higher speed.
Do I need any special software? – You only need a plain text editor and a browser, but I’ll also point you to a few free tools that can make your life easier.
